General Submission Information
	AblePlay^TM will accept products in the following categories: General/Active Toys - battery-operated or manipulative (e.g. puzzles, play houses, blocks, puppets, balls, rattles, board games) Children's Books with Interactive Components (e.g. electronic sounds, lift the flaps, finger puppets, art activities) Electronic Toys* (e.g. tv games, hand held games, interactive tv products) Arts & Crafts Outdoor Play Products - Contact Lekotek prior to submission if unit requires oversized/overweight shipment. Educational Products (focuses on fundamental learning skills) Specially Adapted Toys (designed specifically for children with disabilities) *All electronic games must be sent with a fully operating unit in which to evaluate the game and specification of what item is to be evaluated - the unit, the individual game or both. If both are to be evaluated, a fee of $150.00 each is required.

	*AblePlay will not* accept products in the following categories: Magazines Computer Software Audio Recordings Resource/Parenting Books Storybooks/Novels DVD/Videos Juvenile Products/Equipment (e.g. highchairs, bouncy seats, cribs, walkers) Items with violent themes Prototypes of any sort** If you have a question whether a particular item will be accepted, please contact Ellen Metrick at 773-528-5766 ext. 404, or email EMetrick@lekotek.org.



Timeline for AblePlay
	After receiving each toy's rating, companies can then choose to opt-in to the consumer website for an additional fee. All products will stay live on the site for 12 months. The AblePlay TM consumer website can be viewed at www.ableplay.org.



Entries
	Companies are invited to enter as many items as they want. There is a $150 fee per entry. Three identical samples of each entry are required. For oversized items, contact Lekotek for exceptions. If a product requires batteries, all necessary batteries are to be included with each entry. All products must be production samples; no prototypes will be accepted. Samples will not be returned. Upon completion of evaluation, the items will be donated to charity agencies who work with children. All electronic games must be sent with a fully operating unit in which to evaluate the game and specification of what item is to be evaluated - the unit or the individual game. Lekotek reserves the right to decline any item. Once you receive your rating, you have the opportunity to purchase an online Comprehensive Product Review with SALES-LINKS on the AblePlay consumer website for an additional fee.



Payment
	There is a fee of $150.00 per entry. Payment can be made by credit card online or check or money order through the mail. All money should be in U.S. funds. Returned checks will be subject to a $25.00 fine.



Shipment
	Products should be sent to: National Lekotek Center 2001 N. Clybourn Chicago, IL 60614 Attn: AblePlay Contact Lekotek prior to submission if the products require oversized/overweight shipping & handling. AblePlay reserves the right to decline any item. No COD or postage due packages will be accepted.



Digital Images
	A digital image of each entry is required. This image should be in JPEG format with a 300 DPI. Images may be submitted via email at lekotek@lekotek.org. Images may also be saved on a CD and can accompany each entry. AblePlay™ will not be responsible for locating a digital photo of each entry. CDs will not be returned.
